If you’re a patient of mine, you probably already know that Epionce is the only skin care product I recommend. There are a lot of skin care regimens available, none work like Epionce. The information provided is to educate you on why and how to use Epionce. Each step evolved out of a specific need. Before we take a look at each step, lets learn a little bit about how our skin works, shall we? The Stratum Corneum 101: First, understand how your skin functions. Skin is the protective layer between you and the environment. The outermost layer, the stratum corneum looks like a brick wall. Cells are added at the bottom and move to the surface and slough off. As a child, the growth rate of that protective layer happens over the course of a few days. The younger you are the more intact that wall is and the more protection it provides. Exposure to pollution, radiation, sun, and soap all contribute to the breakdown of that protective layer. As your stratum corneum becomes damaged and thinner you now absorb more irritants that cause your skin to become irritated and inflamed. It is those inflammatory chemicals that get produced in your skin that cause skin aging as well as skin cancer. The inflammatory chemicals pull the brakes off of the skin’s ability to control its’ growth and the skin grows haphazardly, a cancer. The same inflammatory chemicals shut off the fibroblasts, the cells that produce collagen, and the skin becomes thinner. The thinner the skin is, the more wrinkles large pores and visible blood vessels. Rosacea is a common inflammatory skin condition which worsens over time as the skin ages. The more intact your stratum corneum, the more protection you have, the less your skin can age. Epionce functions in a very simple yet effective manner. There are two active ingredients, EpiA and EpiB. EpiA goes into the skin and shuts off the cells ability to produce the inflammatory chemicals. Without the inflammation, your body’s own immune system will return the skin’s growth back to normal, healthy. EpiB acts like spackle. It goes into the cells which make up the stratum corneum as well as the glue which holds the cells together. The more intact that layer is, the more protection it can provide and the less subject your skin is to aging. 95% of what makes your skin age external. You can now understand why having that protective layer being as healthy as possible is so important. Comming soon: Step 1 - Cleanse your skin with Epionce. No Comments |
