How to quit smoking?
I feel that one of the most important aspect of a smoker's life is to somehow quit smoking.Smoking is one of the worst habits as it affects one's health in a number of ways.One of the methods to quit smoking is 'just quit',there is nothing like reducing it,'cause then one can never quit.

I have try this kind of method to reduce smoking habit first, and finally stop smoking...

1. Never buy cigar. If desperate, just ask for one stick from friend who smoker.

2. Drink a lot of hot lemon tea without sugar everyday.

3. If suddenly your smoking desire come, immediately eat chewing gum or other thing that you can eat.

4. After eat, of course you want to smoke as usual.. but, don't forget to order desert just your meals. ice-cream or else.

Quitting smoking is rather easy; was rather easy for me at least.
It's all about mind over matter. You need to be strong and stay focused.

There's no reason to smoke. It really is a big waste of money and harms you in the long run.

Take it a day at a time and everyday keep track that you aren't smoking.

picozoo,
nice advice on never buying cigarettes, that is key because if you have them you will smoke them.

I just wanted to add to the chewing gum thing that I used sunflower seeds. They worked good for me becasue it is similar to smoking (you put one in your mouth, then take out the shell, and put another one in, so it kinda mimics the habbit)

Can you tell us more about that hot lemon tea theory you have? I would like to learn more as to why that works, or works for you.
