Black eye scar

Someone I know got a black eye and decided to put white vinegar on it because he heard it would make the black eye go away quicker.

The white vinegar made the it a lot worse and stayed a lot longer than expected.

He now has a scar from it under his eye because of the bubbling from the white vinegar.

Has anyone even heard of putting white vinegar on a bruise to make it better?

Also, any home remedies to get rid of scars?
