do you use the internet to self diagnose?
And do you think it's healthy?

I have done in the past and scared my self silly! you look up a stomach ache and tap in your symptoms and its so generic you get cancer as a possible diagnosis

Should we leave these internet medical sites alone and rely on our doctors to diagnose us? or is it ok to check out our symptoms and self help?

I also do this a lot because I don't like going to the doctor for such a small thing. But yes, I also get scared since almost all symptoms could lead to cancer!
I think doctors don't like it if we think we know the diagnosis because we looked it up in the internet. That's what I saw in House! Haha!

No you should not use.
You should always consult a doctor for proper investigation, diagnosis and treatment. Not all internet sources are reliable.

I like the dianose too of webmd.com

I too used to do this a lot until i landed up with a bad case of self medication. After that I regularly consult a doctor whenever I feel something is wrong with me or my body. Try and visit a single doctor for most of your ailments as he has your past history and you need waste time in describing what ailments you had in so and so years to another one. Try and avoid self diagnosis, its the doctor's job not yours.
